Pumpkinfest is an annual neighborhood event held in the fall. The day is full of games and prizes for children up to 14 years old. It's a great day to bring the neighborhood together and enjoy a nice fall day. Pumpkinfest was started in 1991 and has been held every October at Horace Mann field on Shadeland Avenue.

At Pumpkinfest, each child receives a bag of treats and a pumpkin as well as an opportunity to visit a petting zoo, ride ponies, go on a hayride, play games and create artwork. Families also have the opportunity to learn more about the neighborhood and different organizations on the North Side.
